After 27 years as a newspaper man, Peter Anderson’s career is slipping away, at least it was, until he stumbled upon the story of a lifetime. What was your inspiration for this book?
I'm a firm believer that we are not alone… the universe is far to massive to support such an idea. When the lights appeared in the night sky over Arizona I was hooked… doubly so after the governor of Arizona made fun of the event. I wrote BOB as a view as to what might have happened.
Why did you decide to produce an audiobook?
I've had one of the other books turned into a paperback with mix results. You may have a wonderful story but trying to get people to read it if they have never heard of you is far harder than you might expect. My thought was an audio book would be an easier avenue into the readers perception of my work. My stories are quirky… an odd view of what seems normal to others and BOB is no exception.
How did you choose the reader for the book and the production company?
The story was doing well and I had an avid fan and friend in Jonathan Cook. He has a book review podcast and BOB… as well as my other books met his level of recommendation. He has a great voice presence the studio / equipment and wanted to give it a try. It turned out better than I could hope… he's a great talent.
