What was your inspiration for this book?
Inherent Truth started as my own quest for catharsis. When I began writing this book, my grandmother's health was declining to the grips of dementia and I'd just learned of the passing of my birth mother, who I never took the opportunity to meet. These experiences made me wonder about the secrets these women would take to the grave, never to be told, answers lost to the loved ones they left behind. And from that, the heroine of this book, Liv Sullivan was born.
Why did you decide to produce an audiobook?
I decided to produce an audiobook for Inherent Truth in order to open more avenues to potential readers. I enjoy listening to books during my commute and have friends who do the same. It seemed a logical step to offer Inherent Truth in that format as well as ebook and paperback.
How did you choose the reader for the book and the production company?
Choosing the reader was the most difficult part of the process. A narrator truly can make or break a series and I wanted to make sure the narrator I selected would enhance the story. When I listened to Ms. Gallagher's audition I knew she was the one to breathe life into Liv and Ridge.
As for production, I went with ACX due to their ease of use and choice of narrators. I initially started with a different company but didn't have much luck finding a reader, so I made the switch to ACX and I'm glad I did.
