What was your inspiration for this book?
I've always enjoyed reading and writing about food, so I thought it would be fun to write a book about a man who loves to cook. It usually take the collision of two ideas for the words to start flowing though. In this case, the plot was inspired by something that might have happened–but didn't–in a TV show I was watching.
Why did you decide to produce an audiobook?
I prefer print books myself, but I know a lot of people who prefer audio books, so I wanted to make the story available for them too. The Wild Rose Press doesn't do audio books, so I have those rights.
How did you choose the reader for the book and the production company?
Another Wild Rose Press author mentioned how easy the ACX process was, so I gave it a try, and it turned out to be the most user friendly website I have ever used. I put the book up for auditions and one of them really stood out. Catherine Hein Carter's warm, engaging voice was perfect for the story. She really seemed to "get" the characters and did a wonderful job of narrating.
