Jack has been blindsided. After a lifetime of working toward a comfortable retirement, he was hit with a double whammy. A heart attack forced him to stop work early and his wife left to enjoy retirement with someone else.

What was your inspiration for this book?
I was inspired to write this book when I saw a woman feeding a cat in the local park. In our conversation, she told me she was grateful for the cat because it gave her a reason to come out each day after her husband passed away. From there I imagined other possibilities and characters and the story grew from there.
Why did you decide to produce an audiobook?
I love listening to audiobooks while I walk my dog, do the dishes, or when I am driving. I think that Susan Fouche did a great job narrating the story and I hope people enjoy it.
How did you choose the reader for the book and the production company?
I used Findaway Voices to produce this book. It is a great company to work with. I chose Susan Fouche through an audition process because I liked her voice and the way she told the story.
If you have listened to this book let us know what you think in the comments. We’d love to hear from you!
