Dying was the break she needed…
Or so she thought. Homicide Detective Katie Hanson prided herself on being an advocate for the dead. She had no idea dying would take that to an entirely new level. When she returns home from the hospital after a near-death experience, she realizes the door to the spirit world remained open… wide open. Now she hears voices, sees things that are not there. These aren’t any voices. The murder victims of her Department’s cold cases are haunting her. As Katie navigates the waters of being a medium, she discovers her skills go beyond channeling murder victim Sarah Alexander’s account of her horrific murder and the murder of her two children, much more. Katie finds that she is also able to see through dimensions into a parallel world. Katie receives unexpected help with her current case from her doppelgänger P-Kate. With the aid of P-Kate, she learns to stream Sarah’s consciousness, her memories, her very soul.
Katie thinks channeling Sarah will close out her cold case in record time. She is dead wrong. Things are not what they seem. It made matters worse. Now she has two suspects. Nothing about the investigation is clear-cut. It turns out that a dead person’s memory of the events can be as flawed as the living. The testimony does not match the evidence. She wants to believe the deceased, but the evidence doesn’t support the account. Will Sarah help Katie bring the killer to justice, or will they drag in an innocent man?

It came from a dream that I had. When you wrote the book did you know you were going to offer it as an audio book?
I didn’t think the option would be available to me, but now I’m glad that I did.
Why did you decide to produce an audio book?
I had several people tell me that the did not like to read or did not have to, but that they enjoyed listening to audiobooks. After a ton of requests, I began to research how to have one done.
How did you choose the reader for the book and the production company?
I needed someone who could handle a French accent and foreign words. The producer is amazing.
Find a good producer. That is the most important detail. If you take a look at the reviews on Audio, you’ll see that people really care about who is reading it. If they hate the reader then they are done with buying your books. What else would you like to share with readers about your audio book?
It is captivating to listen to. The producer did an amazing job of changing accents and pitch so that you’re never unsure of who is speaking. I’m very proud of it.
